I love your disposal of
the Corporate power.

I saw the war of the
corporates up close when they ATTACKED students of Berkeley HIgh School.
One full year OF deceiving the students into believing they were subject of a YEARLONG documentary full of art and many happenings.(probably there was no film in the cameras) After the year’s shoot, the documentary was shown on Ch. 9 – uh, say what? only one
classroom scene was shown. Period. The
High School officials said ‘what gives?’ and PEN Oakland got wind of it.
(Ishmael Reed’s political arm) on Ch. 9 it was presented as representing racism in the school. (just a debate) The producer UNWILLING to give the out-takes to the HIgh School (they should have sued the Corporation –hit them in the pocket book! FOUGHT back!) In a public forum sponsored by PEN Oakland, we all humiliated the producer, with people like me and Ishmael Reed, sitting side by side in the front row – literally STUCK OUR TONGUES OUT AT AT THE PRODUCER who was seated in the HOT SEAT in front of a roomful of angry ‘take no prisoners’ TEACHERS (i think
someone filmed THIS if so we
should get ahold of it)
and doing the best tongue-lashing were the well spoken students. We gave the producer no mercy and finally it caused her to tell us the truth! “THE CORPORATION MADE ME DO IT.” (I CAN HEAR YOU, FRANK, OF COURSE THEY DIDN’T ‘MAKE HER DO IT, SHE COULD HAVE SAID NO!) Her funders then INSTRUCTED HER to send the one scene labeled as
‘RACISM IN THE HIGH SCHOOLS’ to every High School in the country!!!!!!!! Criminal!!!!

I have seen and spoken of this hideous war by media corporations many times before that incident but
never saw the
Corporates so exposed for the long deliberate war they wage.
In t.v. , never showing the positives, .emphasizing negativity, whipping up racism.demeaning the youth,
and this Documentary was proof of OUT AND OUT WAR BY THE CORPORATES. It was a microcosm before my very eyes!!!! Of the consistent planned and executed war! (Ken Kesey told us long time ago) The film was shown to the entire country as a cauterized and isolated brief segment representing ‘racism’ (just debate in a class room) I call it the ‘RAPE OF BERKELEY
HIGH!”
How did we get that white middle-aged schoolteacher,
female, to come from NY City?
To have Ishmael Reed and myself stick out our tongues at her??? Invited by our own KIM who is Ishmael’s right arm in ‘getting things done.’you remember when she invited you to read for her prestigious poetry program, LITERATURE WITHOUT BORDERS’) She had to make the call to NY TO invite the woman and got so disgusted with her, she finally said something like, Oh well (like we don’t really want you to come, she told me!) The woman was so blown away it CHALLENGED her to change her mind and accept!! Double that horrible experience for young students at Berkeley High School a trillion times
and you see how the Corporations have very deliberately dissected the country, methodically.
